At 38 stories and over 400,000 sf, the project encompasses 228 hotel rooms, ballroom, meeting facilities, restaurants, bars, retail, atrium pre-function area, fitness center, hotel pool deck and spa along with 120,000 sf of condominiums on the upper 20 floors.  Averaging 1200 sf each, the condos feature floor to ceiling glass, panoramic views, daring ‘diving board’ balconies and a private pool area located on the 17th floor. 

By conceptualizing the architectural tower massing and facade design in an elegant and minimal way, significant cost advantages are achieved.  The tower massing is functionally articulated: long span hotel ballroom, meeting room functions reside in the low-rise podium while the hotel rooms inhabit tower floors 4-16 where a required setback occurs for the remainder of the tower condo floors.  The unique random patterned glass and metal building skin is optimized for solar orientation; a metal skin engages the east and west facades where greatest solar gain occurs, north and south are glazed for view capture and daylight harvesting.  A  creased and faceted texture on the anodized aluminum metal panels in concert with the rich blue hues of the curtainwall combine to create our vision of a cool minimalist monolith shimmering in the desert sun. Evocative of southwestern eroded landforms; pinnacles and spires, the building’s tall, slender profile makes a distinctive and unapologetic landmark statement on the Phoenix skyline.
